Georgia Ladies Aside was formed in 2005. We are a group of sidesaddle enthusiasts of all ages who ride aside for pleasure and competition. It is our goal to promote awareness of aside riding and to educate the public about the beauty, elegance and tradition that still lives in sidesaddle riding.
We host clinics, socials, give demonstrations and ride in many public events. We have a lot of fun!
If you have an interest in the lovely art of riding sidesaddle, please join us! Members do not need to own a horse or a sidesaddle.
The majority of our members are in Georgia, but we have members in many other states around the country, especially the Southeast. You are welcome to join us as well, no matter where you live!
Annual Membership Dues:
Individual: $30.00
Family membership: includes two family members for $40.00 and each additional family member is only $10.00.
Membership runs from March 1st to March 1st.
Membership benefits include: reduced clinic fees (clinics that GALA organizes), monthly GALA email newsletter, access to the Yahoo Georgia Ladies Aside message group and free classified ads on the GALA website. GALA members also become members of the American Sidesaddle Association. ASA members receive an electronic newsletter with educational articles, a calendar of events and more, may place free classifieds on the ASA web site and in the newsletter, have access to a fun awards program and more. Lighting the Way Aside
Dues help pay for our insurance and, of course, go toward promoting sidesaddle riding! We now accept PayPal for membership. Paying with PayPal will incur an extra $4.00 fee to cover handling costs.
