On Sunday, June 13th GALA was invited to do a demo at the American Competitive Trail Horse Association’s Ride for the Rescues. This ride was held on the same day in all fifty states to raise money for rescues and to attempt to set a Guinness World Record for the most trail riders at one trail ride on the same day. (And the world record was set!) The money raised at the ride went to the Georgia Equine Rescue League. The ride was held at the beautiful Peter’s Creek Farm.
Melissa Starr, Christina Minyard and Stephanie Hutcherson participated in the demo. Melissa rode in a Civil War costume on her Morgan mare, Becky. Christina rode her Belgian mare, Honey in Medieval costume. Stephanie rode in schooling hunter attire on her Appaloosa gelding, Romeo. After the demo, Stephanie and Romeo participated in the ride as a safety rider.
